Here we have 4 ways to grow abs in the kitchen, have you heard people say Abs are grown in the kitchen? Have you been taught that doing thousands of crunches is the only way to get them? If you have, think again.
The truth is that abs are made in the kitchen. Yes- what you eat and how you eat it are more important than getting on the floor for crunches. Here are some tips on how to truly get the stomach you want:
- You have to watch what you eat. You can work out day until night but if you’re eating pizza, ice cream and candy all day, guess what? You’ll never see the changes you want. Watching what you eat means having an outline of your meals pre-planned. It helps to avoid binge eating or eating what you shouldn’t because you don’t have time. Plan out all of your meals with a realistic and healthy outline that you can live with.
- Calories are important. Be sure while you are planning you know what your body needs in terms of caloric intake. Do a few calculations or talk to a dietitian to get the right calorie count for your body. Then, be sure that you stick to it. Be sure to add a few carb calories on days you work out hardest to avoid a metabolism crash.
- Watch the protein. Having protein is key to having abs. They go hand in hand! That’s why you should include protein with your breakfast, and then every 2-3 hours after that. An easy way to get your protein for breakfast is to opt for protein shakes, but quality protein supplements. You can mix all kinds of great fruits with it to make it different every morning. Be sure to keep the protein intake up all day to maximize your chances at getting those abs of steel.
- Don’t forget the carbs and fat. You need to be aware of both when seeking the abs. Carbs are still great as low calorie options throughout your diet. You may want to cycle them though. In particular on the days you work out, have 25-50 grams both before and after a workout. What fat you do intake should come from things like fatty fish, fish oil, flaxseed oil and nuts. This is the best way to keep fat that you need in your diet, without sabotaging your goals.
Getting abs is on the list of dietary challenges. Sure working out helps, but you are going to see truly amazing results when you get into the kitchen and start using foods as ways to help out. What you put into your body is what counts—make it only the best choices that produce the results you want.
